1.Cultivation
The students will complete some fundamental courses and strengthen their English ability in Dalian Polytechnic University. The foreign teaching experts will be in charge of the teaching and the English textbooks are adopted to strengthen the students’ English ability. This training focuses on IELTS. The students who pass the exams, get satisfactory marks, provide their personal works admitted by several professional teachers and get 6 points in IELTS will study in Bedfordshire University for two years. Those who have 5 to 6 points in IELTS are qualified for the entrance (They will attend the English ability strengthening course).
2.Degree granting
After studying the required courses for two years and receiving the credits, the students will receive the certificate of undergraduate and bachelor’s degree of Dalian Polytechnic University and the certificate of bachelor’s degree of the corresponding university. Those students who can’t study in Bedfordshire University in the third year can continue studying in Dalian Polytechnic University and get the bachelor’s degree after they complete the four years’ study and receive satisfactory marks.
3.Introduction to Bedfordshire University
Founded in 1957, with its special geographical position in the suburban area of London, Bedfordshire University has attracted many students from more than 110 different countries and regions. At present it has more than 15,000 students. The teaching practice of Bedfordshire University is oriented in the principle of the students’ employment and its graduates’ employment rate is in the top 10 list in UK. During the six-month tracking investigation after graduation, only 3% of the students were not employed. Bedfordshire University has four sub- schools: School of Business, Faculty of Health & Social Science, Faculty of Education & Contemporary Studies and Faculty of Creative Arts, Technologies & Science. Bedfordshire University’s teaching equipments are modern and the large-scale degree courses allow the students to arrange their own majors in the combination courses of different specialities without any restriction. The students can study the courses of different levels and specialities, which range from the higher education diploma courses to bachelor’s degree course, master’s degree and doctor’s degree.

与英国鲁顿大学2+2合作项目
1.培养情况
学生在大连工业大学完成部分专业基础课程并参加英文强化。该英语强化课程采用外籍英文教育专家授课、英文教材，针对雅思英文水平考试进行培训。学生前两学年在我校学习成绩合格、提供若干专业老师认可的个人作品，并且其雅思成绩达到6分，可直接入读鲁顿大学本科学位后两年课程。5-6分的学生可以有条件入学（到英国参加1-2个月的英语强化课程)。
2.学位授予情况
在国外学习两年修完相应课程并取得相应学分后，可分别获得大连工业大学的本科毕业证书和学士学位证书以及对应大学的学士学位证书。第三年没有转入鲁顿大学者可以继续在大连工业大学学习，四年成绩合格可被授予大连工学大学毕业证书和学士学位。
