1.Background of the program
New Zealand Edinburgh Academy and our university develop international exchange and Edinburgh International Civil Flight Institute of Dalian Polytechnic University has been built under the two universities’ cooperation. Approved by the Education Office of Liaoning Province, our university added the air steward of higher technological level in 2007. This speciality makes full use of the good teaching resources of our university and introduces authoritative courses of international air service training. After graduation, the students can master the knowledge and skills qualified for domestic and international air service standard. Air service, air guard, air ground service, air communication restriction, air maintenance of plane, flying techniques and other specialities will be set up.
2.Development of the Program
The speciality of air service of higher technological level began enrolling the students in April 2007. Its courses adopt the international service training courses recognized by ICAO and CAA. It aims at making the students master the international standard and skills of air service and maintain powerful competitive advantages in the employment. Trainers appointed and recognized by ICAO, CAA and most air companies are invited to teach the central courses. Foreign teachers are also employed. After graduation, the university will connect the big air companies and training bases to develop more opportunity to work in domestic and international airline.
与新西兰爱丁堡学院合作项目
1.项目背景
经省教育厅批准，2007年, 大连工业大学增设高职专科层次空中乘务专业。该专业充分利用我校艺术类优质教学资源, 同时, 引入权威国际航空服务实训课程, 学生毕业后可同时具备符合国内、国际航空服务标准的知识与技能。
2.合作办学方式
我校与新西兰爱丁堡学院开展国际交流，两校合作开始组建大连工业大学爱丁堡国际民航学院，将开设空乘服务、空中保安、航空地勤，空中交通管制、飞机维护、飞行技术等本专科课程。
3.项目开展
2007年4月高职专科层次空中乘务专业开始正式招生，其课程设置引入国际航空联盟（ICAO）和国际航空管理局（CAA）双重认证的国际航空服务实训课程，培养学生掌握航空服务的国际标准与技能，有利于学生在就业竞争中保持较强的竞争优势。在师资力量方面，聘请了ICAO、CAA及各大航空公司指定和认可的国际航空业资深外籍培训师讲授部分核心专业课程，同时聘请外籍英语教师。学生毕业后，学校将广泛联系国内外各大航空公司，联系实习基地，力争为毕业生开拓更多的国内与国际航线就业渠道。
